Precision meets Creativity

Close in view of wood carving of a historic map of Dudley Castle dated 1940

Heritage Map Wall Art in Carved Wood penels

We produce wooden maps that are adapted from historical records. They tell the stories of our unique culture. They prompt the memories of the older generations.

They serve as a visual aid to those vital intergenerational conversations that keep our communities history alive in younger minds.

Custom Map

You can choose any location and we will create a historic map specially for you. It could be a home or business location, or somewhere special to a loved one or to your community. These maps are very helpful for recalling the life memories of older people or those experiencing dementia.

High Street Series

These maps tell the story of the Black Country, a proud people that created what we see around us here in the heart of the Industrial Revolution. What was the landscape like then and how has it changed. What can you recognise in these old maps? What memories will come back to life?

Special Projects

A set of maps that are personal projects of Michael, our Digital Carpenter. This example is of Katayama in Japan as it was in 1902. It is in a private collection a resident of the modern city that Katayama became. But there are many others, the Roman British Isles, and a 1880 Atlas from the Age of Discovery.
